On October 7, 2025, the Van Allen Foundation gathered its Partners’ Club in Montpellier, in collaboration with the University Space Center of Montpellier (CSUM), for a day dedicated to New Space and international cooperation.
During this event, DACTEM International was introduced to all members of the Club, marking its official entry into the Foundation’s network of partners.
The event also brought together several representatives from African countries, partners of the CSUM in training and space development programs. These exchanges highlighted the vitality of Europe–Africa cooperation in the space sector, supported by the Van Allen Foundation and its industrial and academic partners.
This meeting illustrates the collaborative dynamic between research, education, and industry, working together for a more open, innovative, and accessible space sector for the next generation of engineers.
The FVA gathered 20 national companies from the space sector, patrons of the Foundation, on the sidelines of the Euro-Africa Biennial in Montpellier, to highlight the strong ties between the African continent and France in the field of space and youth education.
The Foundation’s patrons enjoyed an exceptional day alongside French astronauts Dr. Claudie HAIGNERÉ, patron of the FVA and former minister, and Michel TOGNINI, vice-president of the FVA, together with several ministerial delegations and African partners of the CSUM.
